+Kellan David is multidisciplinary creative in the truest sense of the term, with an artistic style and skillset seemingly just as versatile as his creative capabilities as a visual artist, designer, and entrepreneur. Despite no formal artistic training he has an acute understanding of creative and visual elements, how they interact with each other, and how they are likely to be perceived by an audience. He also exhibits an innate ability to combine a variety of techniques, elements, and sources of inspiration to produce an end product that feels effortless in its ability to provide aesthetic value to the viewer. He is rapidly gaining recognition for his distinct, and often unapologetic, artistic style, as well as his unwavering commitment to purpose-driven creative expression centered around the core belief that love and compassion can conquer all things.
+Although he is a Denver native, Kellan David has spent the last decade as a significant contributor to the Minneapolis creative community, primarily as Co-founder & Creative Director of Hybrid Nation, which is widely considered to be the preeminent Minneapolis-based streetwear & lifestyle brand. A social justice pioneer in the fashion industry, he was one of the earliest advocates for the use of a purpose-driven business model, which includes the direct integration of social activism + philanthropy into every aspect of a business. Whether it is in fashion, design or art, Kellan continues to use his creative + entrepreneurial abilities to spread love, and be a champion for the principles of diversity and social equality, while simultaneously continuing to push boundaries and re-define the creative culture of Minneapolis in more ways than one.
+ Since its beginnings in fall of 2019, Kellan David’s art career has taken off, and continues to gain momentum as his work is popping up all over Minneapolis. He has completed ten murals since the beginning of 2020, including an opportunity to partner with Minneapolis legend, DJ Skee, to bless the walls of the brand new Dash Radio headquarters in Los Angeles, and completion of the “Wings” mural at the Moxy Uptown (a Marriott brand hotel). Kellan was recently announced as the first ever Artist in Residence at the Moxy hotels in Minneapolis, and will work closely with the hotels to carry out projects and experiences that highlight the creativity and culture of the Twin Cities. He also continues to expand a creative partnership with the St. Louis Park-based virtual reality laboratory, Rem5, to create unique experiences that blend art and technology, such as a first of its kind virtual reality art gallery, which he used to host his first solo art show in the fall of 2020. Kellan is also the creator of "THE PEOPLE'S ART PROJECT" - an innovative project that intends to unite creatives, art lovers, galleries, museums, businesses, foundations, and non-profits around the world in an effort to expand upon "art for social impact" as a new + viable economic model.
